Its all a bloody cycle...tragedy or farce..u choose.....

Now this thought got triggered by an edit i read in Hindu.....the edit was about how the present is very much like the past....ie the pre-I WW world....when economy was supposed to be soaring all around and yet there was deprivation all around, ostentateous consumption and high end technologies on one hand and starving, colonized millions (ready to throw off their masters...a million mutinies in the making) on the other hand....and everybody was saying that the great leaders (then UK) had it all in control, thay they knew what they were doing....till the 'great war' happened!!!!

well, pretty much what is happening now, except replace UK with USA...now i wonder what will be our 'great event' that renews the cycle.....i sound pretty cynical with this kind of inevitability but isnt that what history is? it lulls us into complacency when we forget its lessons, before it throws its scyth at us.....

sometimes i think that history is like this with all its up and downs....."if u survive and invest in it, u wd prosper, if u die in its churning, u just become another lesson of history that no one learns".....
