Aamir Khan on the media.....

He is certainly one of the more accomplished actors in the indian film industry....and i certainly admire him because he has distanced himself from mainstream Bollywood and has created a niche for himself and the films that he makes....

The films he makes may not be earth shattering but as Rang De Basanti amply shows, he is certainly moving towards the right direction....


What i didnt know was how aware an individual he really is....he gave an interview to Tehelka recently (he dosnt give many interviews) in which he set forth very clearly what his view on today's mainstream media is (the pathetic state that it has gotten into)....he shows himself to be quite an astute observer and certainly shows much more maturity than most of those who throng the limelight....

It is an interview that we must read so that we know that there are people out there, who while staying within the limelight and being a part of the 'glamour' still retain their thinking capacity whose range is on a larger scale than what pertains to their profession, something which many of us can learn.....
